FBI seeking “Sneaky Cyclist Bandit” in 4 bank robberies northwest of Denver

Investigators seek public’s help in identifying man who fled on a bicycle from heists stretching from late May to early August

Investigators are asking for the public’s help in finding a bank robber dubbed the “Sneaky Cyclist Bandit.”

The same man is suspected of robbing three banks and an ATM this summer, according to the FBI. He’s suspected of robbing the same bank twice, as well as two robberies in one day.

The FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force is investigating the robberies along with local police in Westminster, Louisville and Lafayette.

The robberies occurred at:

    3300 W. 72nd Ave.
    Westminster,
    May 30 at 10:43 a.m.
  • Bank of the West
    865 (east) South Boulder Road
    Louisville,
    June 21 at 10:00 a.m.
  • JP Morgan Chase ATM
    10414 Town Center Drive
    Westminster,
    July 10 at 11:03 a.m.
  • Great Western Bank
    2695 N. Park Drive
    Lafayette,
    July 10 at 11:35 a.m.
  • Great Western Bank
    2695 N. Park Drive
    Lafayette, CO
    08/07/17, 9:48 a.m.

The robber is described as a white man, about 6 feet tall with a thin to medium build, he is balding, with salt and pepper hair. The man fled the robberies on a bicycle. A weapon has not been seen, and no one has been injured.
