Larimer County SWAT officers arrested a man who barricaded himself inside a Wellington home after he allegedly violated a restraining order and severely beat a woman late Monday night.

Cody Lance Ashworth, 31, has been booked into the Larimer County Jail for investigation of felony assault, harassment, violation of a .

Deputies responded to multiple 911 calls around 11 p.m. reporting a domestic violence incident at a home in the 4100 block of Crittenton Lane in Wellington.

When deputies arrived they found a woman who had been severely beaten outside the home, according to a news release by David Moore, spokesman for the Larimer County Sheriff’s Department.

Ashworth allegedly barricaded himself inside the home and , according to the news release.
