Lakewood Police Blotter: Man found with IDs and a social security card not belonging to him

Backpack full of loot. On Aug. 16 police were called to a Walmart, 7455 W Colfax Ave in response to a shoplifter. Police searched the suspectap backpack and found stolen items worth more than $70, according to a police report. Police also found several stolen IDs and a social security card. Police arrested the suspect on scene.

Drunken ditch driving. On Aug. 17, an officer spotted a car in the ditch to the north side of West 20th Avenue and Garrison Street, according to a police report. When questioned by police, the suspect said, “I’m drunk; I’m not going to lie.”

Argument leads to broken TV. Police were called Aug. 17 to an apartment building on the 1800 block of Harlan Street. According to a police report, officers entered the apartment and found a television knocked on the floor with a hole through the screen. A man stated a woman was drunk and threw a picture frame at the television.The woman was arrested on scene.

Man found with meth. Police found a man Aug. 16 sitting on the sidewalk, drinking a beer near Casa Bonita, 6715 W. Colfax Ave. Police took the man into custody and found methamphetamine in his wallet, according to a police report.

Police find stolen vehicle. Officers responded Aug. 18 to reports of a stolen vehicle on the 1300 block of Wadsworth Blvd. According to a police report, officers tased one of the two suspects after she resisted arrest and reached into her pocket. She was transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
