West Jeffco Crime Blotter: A man trying to deliver beer gets threatened and more in this week’s crime blotter

Just doing his job. Officers were dispatched Aug. 17 to Coconut Wine and Spirits, 1153 Bergen Parkway, Evergreen. A delivery driver told police that he walked into the store and a clerk said, “Don’t just walk in. Thatap a good way to get yourself shot.” According to a police report, the driver explained he was there to deliver a shipment, and the clerk said, “Get out. I’ll shoot you.” The driver said he left without delivering the beer.

ATVs in trouble. A man called police Aug. 13 to say he wanted to press charges against two ATV drivers who were riding near the 30000 block of Isenberg Lane, Evergreen. Police responded and asked the ATV drivers to leave. No charges were filed since the ATV drivers did not enter the man’s property.

A safe place. Officers were dispatched Aug. 15 to the 6000 block of Louise Lane, Evergreen. A man said his chain saw and sawzall were missing from where he’d hidden them in some weeds on his property, according to a police report. Camera footage of the property is being reviewed.

Sure, blame a bear. A FedEx driver told police that he delivered a package Aug. 16 to the wrong house on the 15000 block of South Elk Creek Road, Pine. According to a police report, when the driver realized his mistake he went back to the house to fetch the package and someone there told him “a bear must’ve taken it.” Officers contacted residents at the house and asked them to return the package, which they did.

Mailbox mischief. Officers responded to reports of damaged mailboxes Aug. 16 on the 2000 block of Interlocken Drive, Evergreen. The officers photographed a shoe print left on both mailboxes. No suspects are known at this time.
