Firefighters in Colorado Springs battled a blaze in a storage unit Thursday night.

The fire broke out about 7:30 p.m. at American Storage, 6740 Vincent Drive, according to the fire department.

Firefighters wielding axes broke down storage-unit doors, forcing entry into storage units to battle flames.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. There was no initial report of injuries.
