You’ve heard of Uber’s surge pricing. But what about squirrel pricing?

A Boulder resident ordered a baby orphaned squirrel a ride to Boulder County’s Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center using the popular ride-sharing app.

According to Greenwood Wildlife spokeswoman Jenny Bryant, the Uber driver showed up on Friday morning with the orphaned squirrel in a shoebox.

“Sometimes, people have to be creative about transporting an animal to Greenwood,” a Facebook post by Greenwood read. “Uber driver Chris Byrne delivered an orphaned squirrel to Greenwood this morning after a customer ordered a ride for the critter!”

Bryant said Byrne told them it was a first for him.
