The May 12, 2015 derailment of an Amtrak train in Philadelphia was not the first rail disaster to occur in that area. The high-speed Congressional Limited jumped the rails in an area known as Frankford Junction. It is about a mile from where the Amtrak wreck occurred Tuesday night.
