A Denver police officer shot a male suspect Friday night in the Montbello neighborhood and the person was taken to the hospital with a non life-threatening gunshot wound.
The incident occurred in the 4500 block of Kingston Street and no officers were injured by gunfire, a police spokeswoman said.
But an officer who was responding to the shooting was involved in a crash two blocks north of the shooting and was taken to a hospital for observation, she said.
No further information on the incident was expected until Saturday morning.
