
This month, NBC’s televised singing competition “The Voice” returns to begin its quest to pluck the next need-to-know entertainer from America’s fertile field of talent.
Of course, like the Hunger Games, the show is much more fun to watch when there’s someone from your neck of the woods in the fight.
Indeed, this year, Denver has a tribute: Singer-songwriter Shayna Goldstein, who performs under the name , is among the contestants for the 13th season of “The Voice.” Goldstein confirmed she’ll appear in the show’s initial blind audition stage on . To make it to the next round, she’ll have to impress one of this season’s judges: Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus or Jennifer Hudson.

A graduate of Denver School of the Arts, Goldstein has recently performed at Denver venues like Lost Lake Lounge and Globe Hall.
