Residents and visitors spend the morning in the small business district of Derby on June 13, 2017 in Commerce City. As part of the ongoing plan to re-establish the Derby Downtown District as a destination, enhance its visibility and identity and revitalize the district as a whole, Commerce City is creating a plan for lighting and signage in downtown Derby. A series of community workshops and open houses will allow community members to share their ideas, opinions and visions for the district. Getting your player ready...
Commerce City will host its second ever all-Spanish telephone town hall, dubbed Junta Con Lideres de la Ciudad, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
The goal of the event is to hold an open conversation about issues of interest in the Spanish-speaking community, including immigration, code enforcement, trash and recycling, and victim services. Commerce City held its first Spanish telephone town hall in May.
The meeting will take place by phone, and those participating will be anonymous so that residents can openly ask questions and leave comments. The number to call is 877-229-8493, with PIN 116538 once the connection is made.
Residents can also register by texting C3GOB to 828282 to receive a call right before the meeting begins.
