One person injured in hit-and-run in Mesa County

The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two people of interest in a vehicular assault.

Meanwhile, one person remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, the sheriff’s office said.

The hit-and-run happened in the early morning hours of Saturday on the 400 block of 32 Road, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. Sheriff’s investigators were looking for a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee with the North Carolina temporary license plate TJ46689. The sheriff’s announced around 9:30 p.m. that it had found the vehicle.

Investigators also want to speak to David Arellano Jr. and Cheyenne Dean, although the sheriff’s office’s news release said they were not considered suspects.
