Arapahoe County Crime Blotter: Ex-Pizza Hut manager accused of burglarizing restaurant

Police identified a suspicious car that employees said belonged to a former manager who was recently fired

Caught on camera. The manger of Pizza Hut, 5856 S. Lowell Blvd., Littleton, called police Aug. 22 because someone broke into the store over night and took more than $600 from the safe and cash drawer. Upon reviewing security footage outside, police identified a suspicious car that employees said belonged to a former manager who was recently fired. Police are looking for the suspect.

Instant car theft. A man who lives in the 390 block of Rafferty Gardens, Littleton, pulled into his driveway Aug. 25 and ran inside the house for a few seconds. He said left his keys in the ignition, and then a man and drove off with the car while he was barely through the front door. The car had a Lo Jack installed, so police were able to find it later that day in Denver.

Competition bike stolen. Police responded to the 2700 block of West Greens Lane, Littleton, Aug. 23 because a man said someone stole his Quintana Roo Caliente road bike from his garage after he left it open and ran inside his house for a few minutes. The victim said anyone walking along the Platte River Trail could have taken the bike.

Missing cell phones. A caregiver went to check on her client at their home in the 5200 block of Price Street, Aug. 7 Littleton. The caregiver placed her two cell phones on a desk outside of the client’s room before going inside. When she came back out, the phones were gone. There are no suspects.
