Aurora police rescued a driver whose car ran off of a bridge and crashed, top side down, into a creek.

The crash happened late Wednesday night in the 15600 block of East Mississippi Avenue, police said.

Two responding officers waded into rain-swollen West Toll Gate Creek, broke out a window of the mangled car, and pulled the driver to safety. The driver, who suffered minor injuries, was taken to a hospital.

The injured driver, who was not identified, told police that he lost control of his vehicle when another driver pulled out in front of him.
