The Colorado Eagles will formerly announce their partnership with the Colorado Avalanche and the American Hockey League in a joint news conference Monday at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland.

The Eagles, currently of the third-tier ECHL, will become the Avalanche’s AHL affiliate — stocked with the NHL team’s top prospects — beginning in 2018-19. , noting renovation and expansion plans to the Budweiser Events Center.

Speakers at Monday’s noon news conference will include Avalanche general manager Joe Sakic, Eagles CEO Martin Lind, Eagles GM Chris Stewart and AHL CEO Dave Andrews. The event is not open to the public but will be streamed live on Facebook.
