Photos were released Monday of people suspected of passing counterfeit $100 bills in Jefferson County.

The sheriff’s office asks for the public’s help in identifying the suspects who passed bills in September.

In the first incident, two men passed counterfeit bills Sept. 16 in stores at Southwest Plaza, 8501 W. Bowles Ave., the sheriff’s office said.

In the second incident, a woman passed bogus bills Sept. 25 and Sept. 27 at a King Soopers store.

Investigators do not know if the incidents are related.

Anyone with information on the incidents or who recognizes the people in the photos is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 303-271-5612 or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 (STOP). Callers should reference case number 17-24979 regarding the two men, and case 17-26027 regarding the woman.
