in Thornton, the release said.
They’ve been charged by indictment with possessing stolen firearms, conspiracy to steal firearms from a federal firearm licensee, and disposal of the weapons.
“These are not property crimes. These are life and death crimes. Stolen guns go straight into the hands of criminals, not hunters and target shooters,” said acting U.S. Attorney Bob Troyer said. “The people who bring this violence into our communities will be introduced to federal justice, up close and personal, for a long time.”
The attorney’s office, ATF agents and local law enforcement officials were involved in the investigation and arrests. As of Tuesday, 16 suspects have been from federal firearms licensees along the Front Range. Cases are pending.
