A bump-stock device that fits on a semi-automatic rifle to increase the firing speed, making it similar to a fully automatic rifle, is shown at a Salt Lake City gun store.Re: “,” Oct. 8 news story.
Without a serious buyback program, any limitation on the sale of bump stocks imposed by Congress will not reduce the problem. The number of these weapons of war currently in circulation will remain the same. Buyback programs have worked well in Australia, and they would work here, too. It bothers me that no one is talking about this.
