  2. Legacy (18-3, No. 3 seed): Coach Dawn Gaffin knows how to win at the state tourney.
  3. Columbine (15-6, No. 5 seed): Freshman ace Korbe Otis can keep the Rebels in any game.
  4. Arvada West (18-3, No. 2 seed): Senior Shea Mauser has the Wildcats hungry for a title.
  5. Pomona (14-7, No. 8 seed): Panthers are playing with house money after two upset victories at regionals.

4A SOFTBALL —  POSTSEASON POWER FIVE

  1. Valor Christian (21-0, No. 1 seed): The championship path runs through Eagles ace Ali Kilponen.
  2. Thomas Jefferson (19-2, No. 6 seed): Anyone in the Spartans’ lineup can go yard at any time.
  3. Erie (16-5, No. 4 seed): The Tigers are seasoned, but are in Valor Christian’s half of the bracket.
  4. Golden (18-3, No. 2 seed): Junior pitcher Cassidy Paulson has the Demons rolling.
  5. Discovery Canyon (16-4-1, No. 3 seed): The Thunder mercy-ruled their way to the regional title.
