Motorcyclist dies after two-vehicle traffic collision in Arvada

A motorcycle rider was killed Monday in a two-vehicle collision in Arvada.

The crash happened about 12:45 p.m. at the intersection of West 60th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard, according to police.

The rider, a 44-year-old man, was taken to a hospital, where he died, police said.

The driver of the other vehicle involved remained on scene and cooperated with investigators, police said.

The intersection was shut down for about four hours.
