The driver was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

An attempt at cheap dinner. According to a police report, on Oct. 6 a woman in King Soopers, 9731 W. 58th Ave., Arvada, filled a trash can with three packages of beef and 12 ribeye steaks, then attempted to leave without paying. The total value of the merchandise was $236.13, police reported. She was cited with petty theft.

Tight-lipped hooligan. Arvada officers were dispatched to the 8500 block of West 53rd Avenue on Oct. 9 because a woman was reportedly yelling and banging on the doors of her neighbors late at night. When officers contacted her, she would not provide any reason for her actions, police reported. She was issued a summons for noise disturbance. Officers encouraged her to “refrain from screaming and banging on others’ doors without explanation.”

A witness confronted the man, according to a police report. When the suspect “came at him,” the witness punched the man in the face, according to the report.
