Drivers on Interstate 25 north of Denver will experience delays overnight as work crews re-stripe a section of the highway.

Double lane closures will take place between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 5:30 a.m. Wednesday in southbound lanes at 120th Avenue, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

One lane of the highway will remain open. Drivers should expect delays.

The work is part of the $97.5 million North I-25 Express Lanes project.

Additional construction with the project takes place 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday,  with periodic night and weekend work. The roadway work is expected to complete its final alignment by winter 2018.
