The 911 call came in at 1:08 a.m. to a Colorado Springs police dispatcher: Suspicious “truck” in the 1100 block of Holli Springs Lane.

When Falcon Division patrol officers arrived, they saw a man had fallen asleep in the cab of a truck. They rapped on the window.

What followed was like a scene from a Three Stooges movie remake, according to a police report.

The man immediately put the truck into gear and careened down the alley directly into the officer’s patrol car. The man then crashed the truck into a trash bin, pushing it into a parked car. Still going, the collided with a second trash bin, causing the truck to tip over onto the passenger side.

Undeterred, the suspect crawled out and ran. He then tried to hide behind a washer and dryer on the property of a nearby four-plex, the report says.

Police brought in a K-9. The dog tracked the suspect and police arrested the man “without incident.”

As it turns out, the truck had been stolen.

Anthony Jordan, 25, was booked into jail on , the report says.
