Thank goodness Datafiniti is doing the kind of crucial, hard-hitting data analysis that our country needs right now. The across the country to answer the all-important question: Are we paying too much for pizza?
In Colorado, the answer — at least according to their research — is not really. Colorado ranked 27th out of 51 (including Washington, D.C.), with the median price of a large cheese pizza coming in at $10.97.
Alaska had the cheapest pie ($7.25), and thank goodness we don’t live in North Dakota, where the median price was $14.
Denver had 12 restaurants servings pizza per 100,000 residents, which put us tied for 17th (with Las Vegas) for the city serving the most pizza per capita. (In case you’re wondering where you should move, Orlando, Fla., topped the list with 21.6 pizzerias per 100,000 residents.)
We can only hope that this groundbreaking study leads to more pizza data collection before it’s too late.
