Three story lines
1. Senior Day. A collection of at least 21 CU Buffaloes will play their final home game at Folsom Field on Saturday. Impact players, too, with tailback (3,630 career rushing yards), receiver (163 career receptions), offensive tackle (34 career starts) and other key Buffaloes set to say their Boulder goodbyes. An upset win against USC would send them out the right way.
2. So-Cal dominance. Dating back to 1927, the Buffaloes have never beaten the Trojans in 11 tries — including six with each as members of the Pac-12. It won’t be any easier on Saturday. USC can clinch the Pac-12 South Division with a victory and features a 1,000-yard rusher in Ronald Jones and a defense that has intercepted 13 passes this fall.
3. Get healthy. The injury bug has been especially painful for CU down the final stretch with starting cornerback and starting safety both questionable for Saturday. That’s bad news given the Buffs are up against a USC offense led by quarterback Sam Darnold (2,869 passing yards and 22 touchdowns this fall). Good news for CU moving forward? The Buffaloes gets a bye week the following Saturday to rest up.
