
Former has been tapped by the Trump administration to serve as Colorado’s state rural development director for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

In her new role, Clark will be in charge of working to restore prosperity to the state’s rural corners, according to the USDA.
“It is an honor to be selected by the President to fill the extremely important role of State Director of Rural Development in Colorado” Clark said in a written statement. “I look forward to working with the President, Secretary of Agriculture, and the Assistant to the Secretary for Rural Development to increase rural prosperity and enhance customer service through innovation and partnerships in our state.”
The USDA’s rural development program provides loans and grants — for everything from infrastructure improvements to schools — to expand economic opportunities and create jobs.
Clark, during her time as an El Paso County commissioner, served as president of the National Association of Counties.
Clark began her new job on Monday.
