Benjamin Forbes.A former Westminster High School teacher has been sentenced to seven years in prison for sex assault of a child.
Benjamin Forbes was sentenced Wednesday in Adams County after pleading guilty earlier to one count of attempted first-degree assault and attempted sexual assault on a child, according to the district attorney’s office. Both counts are felonies.
Forbes, a math teacher and soccer coach at the school, had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old female student from August to December 2016, according to the district attorney’s office. He was arrested and .
Forbes was sentenced by Adams County District Judge Sharon Holbrook.
