
Trygve Butler’s designated post-work beer glass is hanging in the tap house of Wiley Roots Brewing Co.
Come Friday, that won’t be the only detail in his memory at the Greeley brewery.
Butler, 26, was a Wiley Roots bartender, and he died a little more than two months ago in a car crash on his way home from work. He was close to everyone on staff, according to owner Kyle Carbaugh, and he was a valuable employee, working about 30 percent of the total hours at the time among the brewery’s six employees.
After hearing the news about Butler, Carbaugh said it was decided unanimously that the brewery would dedicate a beer in his name. It was the least they could do, he said.
On Friday, that beer, TRYGonometry, will be released at Wiley Roots, 625 3rd St., Unit D in Greeley.
