Re: “ ” Nov. 11 news story.

President Donald Trump, who championed the lie that his predecessor, Barack Obama, was not a U.S. citizen and openly boasted that his own swearing-in was attended by the largest inaugural crowd in history (refuted by multiple sources, including the National Parks Service) would now have us believe Vladimir Putin’s denial regarding Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. elections.

Your article quotes Trump as saying of Putin: “I really believe that when he tells me that, he means it.” Like Putin, Trump “really believes” his own lies and really “means it” when he propagates them. It takes a liar to know one.
