OAKLAND  — The Broncos lost three defensive starters to injury or ejection in their loss to the Raiders on Sunday. was tossed for fighting with and could be facing a hefty fine and/or suspension.

Defensive end was carted off with a neck injury. And, later in the game, nose tackle Domata Peko, who was also dealing with the flu, was carted off with a knee injury. Wolfe and Peko are expected to undergo further testing back in Colorado on Monday.

The Broncos nearly lost safety , too, after a hard hit on . Cooper was down on the field for awhile but walked off on his own and was ruled out with a concussion. Stewart was checked out by the Broncos’ training staff but later returned to the game.

“I’m good. I just caught a little stinger. I’m glad he’s all right, too,” Stewart said. “He caught the worst of it. But I was happy to hear that he’s OK.”

Miller’s frustration. Outside linebacker has ended each of the Broncos’ last seven losses with a shred of optimism. But the frustration is building for him, too.

“Yeah, I can’t really say that I’m not frustrated,” he said. “Year seven for me, I feel it is the losses, itap just where I am in my career. I feel like this is the best shape that I’ve been in. This is the smartest that I’ve been and I feel like I’m on the top of my game and I just want the opportunity to go out there and prove that. Thatap the frustrating part, me being on top of my game like I’ve never been before and not being able to put it out there for everybody to see.

“Wasting a prime year, thatap the frustration, but at the end of the day we still got another opportunity to go out there and all I really need is the opportunity to go out there with my guys and just play. I just want to go out there and show the great player I truly am.”

Footnotes. Receiver Demaryius Thomas caught five passes to become the eighth active NFL player and the third player in Broncos history to record 600 career catches (604 rec.). Thomas is the fastest Broncos to reach 600 career receptions, doing so in his 112th game….Quarterback Brock Osweiler, previously the team’s starter, and tight end were among the Broncos’ seven inactive players Sunday against the Raiders. Receiver Isaiah McKenzie, running back De’Angelo Henderson, outside linebacker DeMarcus Walker, offensive lineman Cyrus Kouandjio and nose tackle Kyle Peko rounded out the list.  started opposite Von Miller at outside linebacker, and Allen Barbre started at right tackle…. was the Broncos’ game-day captain. … Barrett recorded a sack, forced fumble and fumble recovery late in the first quarter to give him his fourth sack of the year. It also marked the fourth strip-sack of his career.
