A woman suffered second-degree burns when a fire broke out at a house in Bennett on Sunday.
Three residents were in the home at Cherry and South First streets when the fire broke out at 12:43 p.m. The woman was the only one taken to a hospital, said Bridgette Cumley, battalion chief with Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze by 1:43 p.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, Cumley said. Sable Altura Fire Rescue and the Strasburg and Byers fire departments assisted.
