Former “Today” show host Matt Lauer, who was fired by NBC Wednesday for inappropriate sexual behavior towards a colleague, broke his silence Thursday morning in a statement expressing his “sorrow and regret.
In a statement read on air on “Today,” Lauer said not all of the allegations against him are true, but “there is enough truth in these stories to make me feel embarrassed and ashamed.”
