Colorado Springs police are searching for a 26-year-old man who allegedly sexually assaulted his former girlfriend and then tried to murder her.

Aloysious Lucero allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend in her home in the 3700 block of East La Salle Street on Tuesday at 12:40 a.m., according to a news release by Lt. Howard Black, Colorado Springs spokesman.

A warrant was issued for Lucero’s arrest on the charged of attempted first degree murder, Black said.

Lucero is a light-skinned Hispanic male, 6-feet tall, 208 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has a distinctive mole on his lower right chin area.
