FORT COLLINS — An attempt to collect a drug debt inside a Loveland motel led to a jury convicting two men of felony kidnapping, menacing and misdemeanor assault Tuesday after a nine-day trial.

Both Trever Izzard, 35, and Mohammed Jones, 50, were found guilty of kidnapping Ivan Pavel after the zip-tied his hands to hold him against his will inside a King’s Court Motel room in February 2016.

A third man, 38-year-old Daniel Tan, has been accused of the same set of crimes stemming from the incident, but has yet to enter a plea in his case. Tan is scheduled to make a court appearance Thursday.

Izzard was also found guilty of felony possession of both methamphetamine and heroin.
