A gunman in an armed robbery and two carjackings remains at large in Pueblo, and police on Wednesday released a photo of the suspect.
Omar Antonio Valdez, 24, allegedly committed an armed robbery about 4 p.m. Monday at a Walmart store, 4080 W. Northern Ave., according to a news release. After the robbery, Valdez allegedly menaced a Pueblo police officer and committed two carjackings in which he fired shots, police said.

Valdez is wanted on suspicion of robbery, menacing and two counts of first-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft, according to the release. He has additional active arrest warrants out of El Paso County for failure to appear, burglary, first-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft, criminal trespass and obstruction of a police officer.
Police said there was a carjacking Wednesday morning in the 1200 block of West 29th Street. A 2006 blue Mercedes R350 with Colorado license plate UEQ-505 was stolen at gunpoint. Shots were fired during the robbery. It’s not clear if the Wednesday incident is tied to Valdez.

Valdez is considered armed and dangerous.
