Getting your player ready...

Just south of a 3-bedroom/3.5-bath townhouse at 433 Fillmore Street you can visit today, 2 to 4 p.m., you’ll notice a spectacular custom home next door that will give you a feel for where the market is headed in the prime blocks adjacent to Cherry Creek North’s shopping district. “People arriving in Denver from California and other markets all tell us they want to live in Cherry Creek,” says LIV Sotheby’s agent Diane Huttner, a Cherry Creek expert.

If Cherry Creek is becoming Denver’s Beverly Hills, then E. Third Avenue is its Rodeo Drive — where this 1997 townhouse with 3,391 square feet including a finished basement, could have you within a block of the shopping, dining and entertainment for $1.099 million. “This is the best part of Cherry Creek,” says Huttner, who’ll have chocolate chip cookies out. The look is contemporary, but not too much so, she adds — a “transitional” style that’ll work with a variety of furnishings. Just last year the sellers replaced the roof and the stucco exterior and added two skylights, a new furnace and Trek no-maintenance fencing along the side yard.

Huttner says new arrivals find a welcoming neighborhood with lots of groups and activities. Despite the two-car attached garage, you don’t want to move your car any more than you have to; making it perfect for a new shuttle service called Eco-Rides USA that will pick you up at your Cherry Creek address and transport you in an electric vehicle anywhere in the north shopping district at no charge (ads on the roof pay the freight). You’ll see a wide plan with a front formal area, open-atrium staircase and a galley-style kitchen with counter bar that opens to a family room with fireplace, and to an enclosed courtyard. The finished basement has a third guest bedroom, and the master suite has its own fireplace, a five-piece bath and a large walk-in closet.

Huttner notes that the fenced front yard is a coveted feature in Cherry Creek, one that will save you a couple of daily trips walking the dog.  She’ll have 433 Fillmore open from 2 to 4. From York or Josephine streets head east on Fifth four blocks, and turn south; or call Huttner for a private showing at 303-521-3426.
