Frosty’s back.

A giant inflatable snowman that was stolen from the front yard of a home on Boulder’s Mapleton Hill last week was returned in the dead of night this weekend to the spot it has occupied every Christmas for the past 20 years.

Norman Jacobs went out to his front yard last Wednesday to find that the giant inflatable snowman and its two fan blowers that he bought out of a catalog two decades ago had gone missing overnight.

Jacobs reported the caper to Boulder police, and offered a $500 reward for the return of the snowman in a Daily Camera article on Friday.

At around 4 a.m. Sunday, Jacobs said, he randomly woke up. When he went outside, he found that the snowman and the fans had been “unceremoniously dumped” in the street right in front of the house.
