Pomona tailback Max Borghi, who verbally committed to Washington State in June, has yet to send in his National Letter of Intent to Pullman on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period.

The move indicates Borghi, the 2017 Denver Post Gold Helmet winner who led the Panthers to the Class 5A state championship, is seriously considering a late offer from Stanford.

He is one of six of the Cougars’ 22 total recruits who hasn’t signed yet, 18 total cougars have signed today.

It’s the first year of the early signing period for Division I, which began at 7 a.m. Wednesday and runs through 11:59 p.m. Friday. Recruits can also sign during the traditional signing period, from Feb. 7 to April 1, but most are expected to send in their N.L.I.s today.

As of now, 18 total cougars have signed today.
