
Two Boulder businesses are making moves to Denver’s fast-growing RiNo neighborhood. Popular gym Movement Climbing + Fitness will co-locate with food truck venue Rayback Collective in a sprawling 50,000-square-foot former industrial building.
Movement will take the lion’s share of the space — 40,000 square feet — at 3201 Walnut Street for a bouldering-only gym, the largest of the brand’s three locations in Boulder and Denver. (Bouldering only means no rope climbing; the location will still offer yoga and fitness classes, childcare, and other amenities standard to Movement’s gyms.)
RiNo was where Movement wanted to expand in Denver initially, co-founder Anne-Worley Moelter said; it was during the search for a space she and husband Mike came across the eventual home of their second location, 1155 W 5th Ave., which opened in December 2014.
The hunt for a home in RiNo took a bit longer. Mike Moelter found it in mid-2016, and the abundance of space plus an attached parking lot led him to seek a co-tenant.
