Thieves stole a front-end loader early Monday and then used it to rip a bank ATM from the ground and place the machine in the back of a truck in Colorado Springs.
The thieves abandoned the front-end loader at the bank on the 200 block of East Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard and drove off around 4:20 a.m., according to a Colorado Springs police report.
A security company employee who monitors the bank remotely called police about the theft.
The thieves stole the front-end loader from a nearby construction site, the report says.
No arrests have been made. The theft is under investigation.
