Tony P’s Bar and Pizzeria Uptown, or the pizzeria formerly known as Pasquini’s, has closed. Sunday, Jan. 21, was Tony P’s last day on 17th Ave., but the Highland spot will remain open.
“The landlord plans on redeveloping the building. There wasn’t exactly a future there,” owner Tony Pasquini said. “We’re concentrating on the existing location. With one location I can be here more and make sure the customers are happy.”
Pasquini also said that the tight labor market and the resulting difficulty staffing restaurants also played a role in his decision to shutter the Uptown location.
There’s good news for Tony P’s pizza fans, too. Pasquini plans on opening more delivery locations in central Denver. You know the saying: when one Tony P’s door closes, more delivery doors open.
