Moments earlier, Nuggets guard drained the game winner as Westbrook rushed to contest his shot. The fans at the Pepsi Center went nuts celebrating the victory and that’s when the fan made his way onto the court and screamed in Westbrook’s face.

After the game, Westbrook told reporters he was protecting himself.
“You gotta be able to protect the players, man,” Westbrook said. “The fans are obviously there to enjoy the game, but they can’t come onto the floor. That’s totally unacceptable. (The NBA will) look at it and figure out what’s the best way to deal with it, but to me, that’s just totally unacceptable.”
