A graduate of Green Mountain High School, Hensley is a full-time member of the U.S. national team. She played a key role in Team USA’s gold medal in the 2017 world championships as she was named player of the game in a 2-0 victory over rival Canada in a preliminary round and was in goal for the semifinal against Germany and the final over Canada. In the gold medal game she made 28 saves in a 3-2 overtime victory. She lists Joe Sakic as her greatest hockey influence.
