The development plan for the Folsom Property, adjacent to the Ascent building on highway 6 Avon, envisions a building that is a maximum of 350,000 square feet and is 95 feet tall at its highest point. This illustration of the potential development was presented to the Avon Planning Commission on Tuesday.The Avon planning commission has recommended rezoning a parcel on U.S. 6 at the edge of town to make way for a new hotel and condominium project.
Colorado World Resorts has hired TAB Associates, a Colorado firm, to assist with design, said architect Greg Macik. Colorado World Resorts is planning a 315,000-square-foot building with 185 hotel rooms, 25 condos, a restaurant and eight on-site employee units.
The rezoning will allow for a building no taller than 95 feet at its highest point.
The project now goes to the Avon Town Council for review.
