High winds across the Front Range, mountains and foothills may have Coloradans holding on to their hats as wind gusts reach up to 85 mph.

The National Weather Service issued a high wind watch starting late Friday night and continuing through the weekend. There’s a possibility that westerly winds will be sustained at 45 to 55 mph with gusts of 65 to 85 mph.

The high winds should calm down after Sunday morning, according to NWS. It’ll make way for a warm Sunday with highs in the mid-60s.

Temperatures are expected to cool down again at the start of the week, potentially bringing snow Monday and Tuesday.
