
She’s waited eight years since her last race in the Olympics, what’s another hour?
Vail’s Lindsey Vonn will need to wait at least an extra hour to make her PyeongChang Olympics debut in the super-G, due to strong winds. The U.S. Ski Team announced the delay on its Twitter account.
Jeongseon Women’s Super-G Update: Due to strong winds at the top of the gondola, the entire women's SG program is delayed by one hour. More info to come ASAP. 💪🏼💨

The race was scheduled to air live at 7 p.m. Mountain Time, but the delay pushes it back to 8 p.m. Friday in the United States.
“Well…start is already delayed an hour due to strong winds,” Vonn tweeted. “Hopefully it will die down so we can have a fair race.”

Vonn has bib No. 1 and will be the first racer down the hill when the race begins.
