A body was found in a drained detention pond in Evans on Tuesday, in the same area where authorities searched for a missing woman in October.
The body found Tuesday was during a “routine check” of an area near the South Platte River, according to a news release.
In October a search was made in the same area for a missing woman, Lydia Gutierrez.
“It is unconfirmed at this time if the body found today is that of Mrs. Gutierrez,” police said.
The Weld County coroner’s office will conduct an autopsy.
