Baby Ruth, the Denver Zoo’s newest sloth superstar, is cute enough to eat. But, you know, don’t do that.

The Denver Zoo revealed Baby Ruth’s name and gender — it’s a girl! — with a Friday twitter video featuring huge sloth fan Ellie Ferris, who’s a patient at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

Baby Ruth and her parents, Charlotte and Elliot, have been hanging around their habitat in Bird World bonding and making people squeal since their February public debut.

The baby girl clung to her mama immediately after birth and will remain attached to her almost exclusively for at least six months.

Sloths are nocturnal animals that spend 15 to 20 hours per day sleeping. They tend to become active from an hour after sunset until about two hours before sunrise. Zoo visitors may be able to catch a glimpse of mom and baby, but their view might be impaired by foliage or Charlotte’s embrace.
