Coroner identifies Denver man who skied into tree at Breckenridge

72-year-old George Constantine died March 23

The Summit County Coroner on Thursday identified a 72-year-old Denver man who died after skiing into a tree at Breckenridge last week.

George Constantine was skiing on Peak 9 when he collided with a tree around 3:55 p.m. on March 23. He was transported to the Breckenridge Medical Clinic where he was pronounced dead.

According to coroner Regan Wood, Constantine was wearing a helmet. His cause of death was described as “exsanguination due to blunt force trauma injuries.”
