Firefighters battling a house fire east of Colorado Springs in Calhan Sunday afternoon found a dead body inside.
They saw the body after extinguishing flames at the house on Blue Roan Circle. And El Paso County Sheriff’s investigators went to the scene to try to figure out how the fire started.
The authorities did not name the dead person, saying the Coroner’s Office had yet to identify the body.
