Investigators asking for public’s help in identifying Aurora bank robber

An armed man robbed an Aurora bank on Monday at gunpoint and investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the robber.

The robbery happened at about 11:25 a.m. at Wells Fargo Bank, 2222 S. Buckley Road, according to police and the FBI.

The bank was robbed at gun point and the robber fled on foot, according to a news release.

The robber is described as a white man in his 40s, about 5’8” tall and stocky, with dark thinning hair. He was wearing a dark t-shirt.

Anyone with information on the robbery, or on a suspect, is asked to call the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force at 303-629-7171; or remain anonymous and send a tip to Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 (STOP).
